Tuesday’s Spondy Tip: Set A Dedicated Time….No Excuses!

If you have a grade 1 or 2 spondylolisthesis or spondylolysis improving how you move and feel can be a challenging task.

If moving and feeling better is a goal of yours you need to avoid two common habits of those who fail frequently with setting and reaching goals.

1. Procrastination

2. Lack of dedication

Improving movement takes work and dedication. Years of abuse on your body do not cure themselves with one simple stretch or exercise. You need to continually work on and improve how you move.

To avoid this two common habits I suggest setting a dedicated time to work on your exercises, stretches, movement, spondy knowledge, etc. Tell yourself no matter what, you are using this time to do what you need to do to move and feel better.

Use your phone or computer and set a timer to go off daily.

Do it at a time when you will have little distractions (I prefer first thing in the morning).

And most importantly use no excuses.

Some days you will look for the littlest things to use as an excuse, but try as hard as you can to not do it.

Stay consistent, do not procrastinate and dedicate yourself to improving how you move and feel.

If you have any tips that you use for staying on track please share them by commenting below.

One of my personal favorites is the simple daily alarm on my cell phone. What do you use?
